What is the Mission and Purpose of the Richmond SPCA?
Mission: To practice and promote the principle that every life is precious. As such, we are committed to the highest principles of humane care and professional treatment of injured, ill, neglected, or abused animals. Purpose: The Robins-Starr Humane Center is the cornerstone of our mission to resolve the pet overpopulation problem by ending this community’s reliance on killing as a means of animal overpopulation control. Through Rehabilitation, Education, Adoption and Sterilization, the Richmond SPCA will provide the leadership and tools necessary to create a community that acts with compassion and a reverence for life.
