What is the mission and vision of Manila Hotel?
The Manila Hotel, which used to be the Grand Dame, has since been forgotten. Thanks to the vision of the Filipino-Chinese Emilio Yap, owner of Manila Bulletin, who now owns it. If truth be told, no wordsmith can convince me of any noble or sound mission and vision statement of the Manila Hotel. Because I have seen its decay. Even the grand pavilion now looks tacky, and the decor is pretentious. The Champagne Room is just about the only outlet in the hotel that has kept its character.
