What is the Mission of the Capital River Chapter (CRC) of the American Red Cross?
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and people, guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. CRC endeavors to fulfill that mission for the communities in Hinds, Madison, Rankin, Simpson, Copiah and Leflore Counties. When other chapters in Mississippi and throughout the United States need our help, CRC volunteers serve the people of those communities as well. CRC volunteers can even become involved in the support of International relief efforts.
