What is the most dangerous aspect of crafting glass pieces?
Blowing glass is like a dance; all the steps are crucial, and any misstep can be tragic. Recently we began using multiple open-flame hi-intensity-heat torches (5800 degree F) in the work. So the dance has become even more difficult. One swipe of the torch in the wrong direction can send you to the emergency room scarred for life. In 1997 you began the process of building your fully operational, state of the art glass studio in Pontiac, MI. What attracted you to the city of Pontiac and what do you like most about working in this region? Jason and I love this area. We have an amazing piece of property that inspires us to create artworks of great beauty. It is peaceful and tranquil here, like an oasis in the midst of the chaos of the city.
