What is the most effective wiffle ball pitch that you throw and how do you throw it?
The curve-riser is the toughest wiffle-ball pitch to hit. It’s also pretty tough to throw. To do it, you hold the ball with your thumb and index finger around the center of the ball with the solid side of the ball nearest your body. This is the opposite of how you would hold it to throw a traditional curve-ball. Thrown correctly by a right-handed pitcher it will start out heading toward the batter’s feet (a right-handed hitter) and will veer up and over in to the strike zone. It’ll take some practice to master it, but if you do, you’ll be unhittable. This pitch was taught to me by wiffle-ball hall-of-famer, Cheese Garver.
