All muscles in your legs are all vitally important for sprinting but you must make sure that you exercise your quads,hamstrings,glutes and calves evenly so that they can balance each other ocordinly and so that your leg muscles are not out of proportion,therefore do not only work on one leg muscle and neglect the others.your legs mucles must be even so that one muscles is not taking more pressure than the other or cannot cope with the other,e.gthe quads and hamstrings must not be too imbalanced if they are going to be imbalanced as for example if you had strong quads and weak hamstrings and your sprint,you could get an injury to your hamstring becuase it is weaker and cannot cope as much with the pressure/strain the strong quads are expecting from it becuase they work in tandom when you sprint,so they both have to be strong.calves i belive have to be strong to,because they are carrying your body weight when you land eacg step,they also provide spring and power,dont listen to anyone who
