What is the Motorway Breakdown Response Service?
If your vehicle is stopped on a motorway in the Brisbane metropolitan area, the vehicle must be removed for your safety, ensuring the flow of traffic and the safety of other motorists. The Department of Transport and Main Roads will organise assistance for your vehicle to be quickly removed from the motorway free of charge to a predetermined safe drop-off point. RACQ members can ask the Motorway Breakdown Response Service driver to arrange an RACQ Road Service Patrol or tow truck to help you from the drop-off location. Who can use the Service? This service is available for all vehicles under 2.5 tonnes, such as family and commercial vehicles. Vehicles involved in traffic accidents or heavy vehicles that cannot be removed by a standard tow truck are excluded from this service. Where and where is the service available?
