Commencing January 1, 2011, lawyers and paralegals must complete in each calendar year at least 12 hours of continuing professional development in eligible educational activities. No less than 3 of the 12 hours must be on topics related to ethics, professionalism and/or practice management.

Commencing January 1, 2011, lawyers and paralegals must complete in each calendar year at least 12 hours of continuing professional development in eligible educational activities. No less than 3 of the 12 hours must be on topics related to professional responsibility, ethics and practice management (“professionalism”). The required 3 hours of CPD related to professionalism must be accredited by the Law Society. The remaining 9 of the 12 hours need not be accredited.
