The goals of the NELRP are to assist in the recruitment and retention of professional registered nurses dedicated to providing health care in facilities with a critical shortage of nurses and to provide an opportunity for nurses to pursue a career in such facilities. The program offers Registered Nurses (RNs) substantial economic assistance to repay a portion of their qualifying educational loans in exchange for a minimum of 2-years of full-time service at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses.
