What is the origin of the Islamic hostility toward the United States?
For year we have been at war with Islamic terrorist but no one that I know of has ever attempted to explain why they hate us. Prior to World War II we were much admired by these underdeveloped nations. A: It’s really quite obvious. The placement of US troops on holy lands in Saudi Arabia, the 1953 CIA coup toppling the democratic government of Iran for our oil interests, the on again off again diplomacy with Iran, Bin Laden, and Iraq before the Gulf War, how we claim to be fighting for democracy but instead give support to the most despotic governments such as those of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, the unnecessary invasion of Iraq in 2003, the prisoner abuses at Gitmo and Abu Ghraib, and of course our continued support of Israel.
