• GoinGreen’s focus is on socially responsible motoring. • We support the Government’s objective of safer roads, including the introduction of more low speed zones, stricter regulations on younger drivers, a focus on reducing careless or inconsiderate driving (source: UK Government’s Road Safety Bill) and a move away from excessive glamorisation of ever more powerful and polluting cars. • Whilst road safety is very important greater focus also needs to be placed on environmental safety. It is estimated that more than 20,000 people die in the UK every year due to pollution related causes of which vehicle emissions is the major contributor. This compares to around 3,000 road fatalities every year.
