Anyone who has not passed their 16th birthday before July 1, 2008 cannot be sent as a delegate. Minors who have not passed their 18th birthday before July 1, 2008, but have attained 16 years of age will be considered if: a. there is full and written parental consent and support for the pilgrimage, and for all the ACTiV8 commitments throughout the year; b. he/she has written leave from school; and c. a member of ACTiV8 who has attained 21 years of age acts as his official adult companion throughout the pilgrimage with parental approval. They will be expected to show the same level of human responsibility and maturity as young adults, in order to benefit from the WYD pilgrimage. For the official age policy of WYD Sydney, please consult www.wyd2008.org/index.php/en/pilgrims/age_policy.
