What is the Pregnancy Center?
The Pregnancy Center was opened in March 1986 as a ministry, locally organized and supported, to provide alternatives to abortion for women with unplanned pregnancies. The scope of the ministry includes operation of the Pregnancy Center, development of educational programs, community involvement, and information dissemination. First and foremost, the Pregnancy Center is Christians demonstrating and extending the love of God to women and families experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Out of that love, the Pregnancy Center exists to meet the needs of the pregnant women, whether they be physical, emotional, or spiritual. Women may be in conflict between their personal, vocational, or financial needs and the added responsibilities of a pregnancy. This often makes them feel pressured to choose abortion.
