What is the problem with socialism?

0

By restricting individualistic rewards in favor of supporting everyone alike, Socialism destroys the motivation of the individual to excel beyond the status quo. The result is a stagnated economy, and a lost spirit of invention. Amongst Christians only, God does provide what may seem to be a Socialistic framework for caring for each other. However, upon closer inpection you will see that providing for others is voluntary, not mandated. Such motivation can come from a republican form of government (Art. IV, Sec. 4 of the US Constitution) with charity and volunteerism by the people, not mandated by the government.

no problem until some Joe Shmo comes up on how to take socialism and incorporate it into dark deals and exploitation!

Socialism doesn’t work; it’s been proven time and time again. Have you ever known of the government managing anything that it didn’t screw up? Socialism sounds ideal on paper, but it doesn’t work. If you work hard, you expect to be rewarded and recognized. You expect to make more money and to be advanced. Under socialism, everyone works and is paid according to need, not rewarded for doing a better job. Therefore noone works to capacity—why bother? Socialism never worked; never will work. Look at the USSR— their economy was in a shambles for almost 100 years of socialism, and still hasn’t recovered. Capitalism provide a driving force to develop business and create wealth and raise standards of living which cannot happen with socialism.

“Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

1) Too much government control over day to day lives of people. The govt. interference we have in our lives the better off we are. 2) There is no free market economy. It’s not right for the state, me or anybody else to get something that we didn’t earn. That’s called theft. Rob from the rich to give to the poor. 3) Total mediocrity with all of us even. I believe if someone has a talent and can make money with it more power to them. I do not have a problem with “class warfare”.
