What is the process for a mural or faux finishing?
For these types of projects I come out to the job site so I can see the actual wall space and work area. Clients usually have a concept of what it is they would like to see, whether it be a beach scene, a winery scene or a type of marble for a fireplace. I listen closely as they list off the types of objects they want to see in the mural and from there I am able to generate several sketches to show the possible outcomes. When I do this I start with a simple design for the first idea and from there I develop the image by adding more and more detail….that way I am able to come up with several different price points for a similar view. For the faux finishing I produce several painted samples to either mimic something shown to me or I come up with my own creative color combinations.
