What is the purpose and general audience of GQ magazine?
The age range for GQ magazine is generally 21-35 or so… But I think the magazine is also known for reaching men at the ages of 50+. I didn’t start reading GQ until I was 23. I didn’t know anyone in high school that really ever got into it, and out of all the people I know, I’m still the only one that really got into it. (hint: demographic) GQ kind of does both in terms of entertaining and informing. You can kind of look at it as a guide to living a certain “lifestyle”. Or in other words, living a sophisticated lifestyle regardless of income level. The magazine informs you in regards to sex life, style, lifestyle and food, etc. But the magazine also entertains in terms of writers sharing stories, or reading stories about other people, etc.
