What is the quickest or cheapest way from Marco Polo airport to Piazzale Roma, Venice?
Either a taxi or a bus takes about 20 minutes from the airport to Piazzale Roma. the taxi is generally faster, but only because you might have to wait for the bus. The cheapest option is the bus. The Santa Lucia station in Venice is not in Piazzale Roma. You would have to take a cab or bus to Mestre to get the train and then walk or take the vaporetto to Piazzale Roma from Santa Lucia. There are boats from the airport to Piazzale Roma, but it’s much slower.
