Every real estate transaction has two sides, a buyer and a seller. When a Realtor lists your home on the MLS they offer a commission to other Realtors if they find a buyer for your home. This is usually a fee between 2-3%. The balance of the fee your listing realtor charges is the amount they keep for listing and selling your home, also usually 2-3%.
