What is the reason for timing chain damage in hyundai santro?

Most, if not all Hyundai car have a belt, not a chain. Hyundai calls for a timing belt change at 60,000 miles because they do wear out, some faster than others. (changed mine at 54,000 miles and it looked good) If they break it will ruin the engine in Hyundai’s cars and at that point you will have to replace/rebuild the engine at a high price. If you have never changed the timing belt in you car, do it now unless you don’t care what happens to the engine. By the way, the timing belt will not make a noise, just break.
