We are completely independent. The Open eBook Forum is an organization composed of numerous industrial actors in the field of electronic publishing. This organization defined an OpenStandard, OEBPS 1.2 for the format of e-books. This directive, while imperfect and incomplete, is adequate for the publication of most electronic documents. We have decided to implement it.
