For private hospitals, trainees can get a starting pay of Rs. 2500 per month which goes up to Rs. 4500 – 5000 with benefits, once they gain more experience. Research work, teaching, catering jobs etc. will definitely offer better pay. Food Technologists, depending on where they are working, a food services department, industry etc. will have differing pay amounts.
