What is the role of the OIG for task orders awarded to Independent Public Accountants?
The primary role of the OIG is to serve the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). The DoD OIG will use FAM 650 to design and perform the appropriate level of oversight and other procedures to use the work of other auditors and specialists. The OIG will oversee the performance of the contractor to ensure compliance with the statement of work (SOW) and GAGAS. Each request for quote (RFQ) will detail additional OIG responsibilities.
