What is the role of the QSA in the implementation of the Australian curriculum?

0

The Australian curriculum will set content and achievement standards. QSA will continue to be responsible for assessment, certification and quality assurance mechanisms. The Australian curriculum will provide clarity about what to teach in English, mathematics, science and history – then geography, languages and the Arts. QSA will continue to have responsibility for the learning areas not covered by the Australian curriculum and currently available. In addition, while the Australian curriculum will be designed to meet the needs of the full range of students, there are a number of local arrangements which will need to be developed and supported for students with special learning needs.
