What is the role of tribal council in general and in relation to other tribal branches of government?
The tribal council is the Legislative branch of our government and is one of the three branches of “checks and balance” in our form of government. Why do you believe you can make a difference and what are the top priorities of your campaign platform? Priority #1 is getting more services to the Cherokee people in District 8. Priority #2 is to protect the Cherokee Nation Constitution. I have diligently worked on these priorities during my first and second term of office and I will continue to do so. What are the biggest problems facing the Cherokee people today and what solution(s) do you propose? The Biggest problem in District 8 Tulsa and Washington Counties is we need more services provided from the Cherokee Nation. We need to continue to preserve our culture and language. We need to continue to expand our tribal sovereignty. We must support the Cherokee Nation Constitution and Cherokee laws.
