What is the Sacrament study?
The Sacrament study is mandatory for all first year students and their parents and those second year students who have not previously attended the study… This is a study on the Sacraments of the Lutheran Church, Baptism and Holy Communion. Students then set up a meeting with one of Immanuel’s Pastors to be interviewed to see if they are prepared to participate in early communion. Confirmation students are also acolytes: This is part of our training for God’s people to serve in His house. We ask all confirmation students to acolyte throughout their two-year Confirmation experience. Students will be trained to acolyte at their first Confirmation class and then scheduled to serve through the church office on a rotating basis.
