What is the safety alert symbol?
The safety alert symbol consists of a triangle with an exclamation mark and it appears to the left of the signal words DANGER, WARNING and CAUTION. In the vocabulary of ANSI Z535 signage, this symbol indicates that a possible personal injury hazard exists. The ISO 3864-2 standard refers to this same symbol as the “general warning sign” to indicate that a potential human risk of injury exists. The ISO version of this symbol is always colored yellow with a black band and a black exclamation mark.
