What is the salary for sales/ marketing jobs? Is it performance related pay?
For sales jobs you tend to get a basic salary, maybe 30K a year or something. You then get paid commision on everything you sell; obviously this method works best for sales jobs as it encourages you to sell more. Sometimes, you get paid a basic salary, as above, but after a year or two, once a client base has been built up, you recieve no basic salary and earn only commision (however by this stage it should be a considerable amount). Marketing jobs usually just get a salary, depending on the job itself.
