The minimum shelf life of melatonin is 12 months from the date of analysis on the certificate of analysis. Products should be kept in a dark, cool, dry place – not the refrigerator.

The shelf life of any product is based on many factors including storage circumstances, ingredients, manufacturing processes and legal regulations. This means that for nearly all non-food items, the shelf life varies depending on brand and medium (liquid, pill, capsule, paste, etc.). I recommend following what is on the bottle and if there is no expiration date (although in the U.S. there legally should be one), then calling the customer service number should give you the answers you need about the particular formula and brand that you have. 🙂
