What is the shelf life of WDGS?
The shelf life of WDGS is very dependant on the ambient temperature and storage condition. If loosely piled in the winter time it can last from 2 to 3 weeks, in the summer time this can be reduced to as little as 3 to 5 days. If the WDGS is packed much the same way as silage and sealed from oxygen, they can last indefinitely (this process could be compared to canning sauerkraut). CR Fuels has the same concern as area neighbors, if the WDGS is allowed to remain on site and become spoiled, this substantially reduces the feed value of the product through undesirable odor and heating.
