What is the status of COTA bus passes for high school students?
Columbus City Schools (CCS) and the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) reinstituted the bus pass program for high school students on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010. The district has proposed changes to the passes to include a magnetic stripe which aligns with COTA’s technology so that it can be swiped for the identification of students and validity of the card. This district is also examining limiting or restricting the time of day the bus passes can be used.
