What is the status of the theater renovation?
On November 4, in front of the Cerrito Theater, there was a groundbreaking event to kick off the renovation. BBI Construction provided hardhats, shovels and ceremonial dirt! Les Blank, a prize winning filmmaker, Redevelopment Agency Board Members, Kyle and Catherine Fischer of Speakeasy Theaters, members of Friends of the Cerrito Theater, Lerner + Holan Architects, BBI Construction, KPM Consulting, Agency staff, and members of the press were present to celebrate the event.
