What is the story of Ares?
Ares is the Greek God or War. (His Roman name was Mars). Ares was less like than Mars and there are different stories about him for different areas of the world. His parents Zeus and Hera disliked him most of all of their children. He would love to start wars just to fight regardless of the consequences. However, he was also known by the Greeks as a coward because if and when he was injured, he would run away and go to get his wound healed and return just to fight. He would sometimes join in on the bloodiest battles and fight, not staying on a designated side. He also had a love in his life, Aphrodite, even though she was married to Hephaistos. They were caught, but that didnt stop Ares from continuing his secret liaisons with her. In one story he was chained inside of an Urn by two giants (Otus and Ephialtes), when Hermes came to rescue him and Ares tricked the giants into killing each other.
