What is the supervised driving period?
If you’re under 18, once you have your learners permit, you’ll have to practice driving for at least 12 months before you apply for your Georgia drivers license. During this time, you must complete at least 40 hours (6 at night) of supervised driving with a licensed parent/legal guardian or licensed adult who is at least 21 years old. The practice driving must be logged in the 40 Hour Driving Log which your parent/legal guardian must sign when you apply for your drivers license.
