What is the temperament of a Chow?
Their behavior if not like the behavior of a typical dog, but more like the disposition of a cat!! Thy prefer to be aloof and left alone for the most part, and don’t want you to know that they need you. I had a dog for 14 years from when I was 7 to 21 years old. He lived a few doors down. My dog Puff had a great deal of black on her tongue, and while that is not definite proof, the neighbors knew that he was the father. A completely blue-black tongue is a characteristic on only Chows and Sharpeis.
