i guess one could interpret it that way, but i don’t think Poe was discussing fault…he was discussing love and pain…the character is not choosing to dwell on his anguish…in fact the raven, in part, represents something outside of himself…it the character’s love that is saying you shall never be free, this will never be over… the only “fault” i see is that he is so in love, and that it is so painful…i don’t think it is much of a poem if he is simply wallowing in pity because he indulgent…his is not “dwelling” on it…the word dwelling demands a choice…and as the raven says, he has not choice… so i would say that sentence is incorrect the theme I would say, is more like: the pain of a deep love will leave you “nevermore”…
