What is the thymus gland and what does it have to do with humming therapy?

A. The thymus gland is an important part of the immune system. When we are in our infancy, its job is to produce antibodies and build up our immune system. As we get older, our thymus gland shrinks and retires. The crying that a baby does may cause the vibrations needed to stimulate the thymus gland. It is my theory that as we get older and our crying ceases, the thymus glad is not getting the vibrations it needs to get into action and produce antibodies! The vibrations coming from the musical pitches are the “key” to kick starting the thymus gland again!
