The Metropolitan Water District met April 14 and ordered a 13 percent cut in deliveries to the San Diego County Water Authority. The county met April 23 to decide how much water it can deliver to the two dozen retail water agencies in the area. The retail water boards will meet at various dates, probably in May, to decide how much their customers can use. So it really cascades down. Who serves what in our region? In the South County it is Cal America (Coronado and Imperial Beach), Sweetwater, city of San Diego (South San Diego and west Otay Mesa) and us. East County districts include Padre Dam, Helix and us. We serve all of Jamul and then we go all the way up, up against Helix; so all through Spring Valley, La Mesa and into El Cajon. Padre Dam is in Alpine. Otay has 48,000 meters for about 190,000 population. The only city we serve is Chula Vista. In the North County, Valley Center is a large agricultural district. On the coastal plain there are smaller cities like Carlsbad and Encinit
