Studded tires are only legal between the dates of September 15th – May 1st of each year. **Update 4/27/2008** - State DOT has extended the studded tires deadline to May 15th, 2008 for all roads north of 60LAT (which includes all of the Richardson, Glenn, and Parks Highways) due to poor driving conditions.
