What is the Timeline behind the Bible?
Is there an overall Story? What follows is a basic outline of the way the time was spent. This required having access to a Bible history timeline as well as a timeline of the development of the Bible. I got both through my Bibleworks software. Supplies: • Timeline of the history of the stories of the Bible (Bibleworks Software) • Study Bibles • Small Sticky notes (four colors) • Pens/pencils • Tape • Scissors Preparation: I printed out the Bibleworks timeline which spans from 4000 BC to 200 AD in 10 year increments. It has every major character, event, and location on it beginning with “Creation to Flood” and including folks from Methuselah to Ezra. It also has people like Popes and other important figures of Christian History. I printed the timeline with 4 sections per page and it was still 18 pages long (!) so make sure you’re in a room big enough to put it up. I also made sure I had extra, reliable study Bibles on hand.
