The Lord Mayor for the City of Perth is elected every four years for a four-year term and was last elected in October 2007. The next Lord Mayoral election will be held in 2011. In October 2011 the City of Perth will hold an election for four Councillor positions. There are eight (8) Councillors in the City of Perth and half (4) are elected every two years to serve a term of four years.
