The University is committed to becoming an equal opportunity and diversity employer. Current work being undertaking to improve the imbalance of women and BME staff in senior grades include: • Improved collection and analysis of data to evidence and inform policy and procedures • Women’s Development Programme also targeted at BME female staff • Awareness raising through E&D Awareness training course • BME and Women’s Network • Celebration of National Celebration Days Future work includes the development of an Equality and Diversity Strategy and Action Plan promoting positive action to address any imbalances.
