What is the update on Janitors for Delta, United planes strike in Boston (AP)?)?
BOSTON (AP) — Janitors who clean Delta and United airlines planes at Boston’s Logan International Airport have gone on strike in a contract dispute. The more than 100 Aramark Corp. employees clean toilets and remove trash from planes parked overnight. They say many have received poor wages of between $8 and $9 an hour with few or no benefits and have been disrespected by management. They say the 24-hour strike is to combat Aramark’s bad faith in negotiations for their first union contract and other unfair labor practices. The strike began Wednesday night and is supposed to end Thursday night.
