if you are titrating HCl into Ca(OH)2 it will take more HCl to get to Methyl orange ‘s color change @ pH about 4 …. than the amount of HCl it will take to get to phenolphthalein’s color change @ pH about 8 using methyl orange would imply that there would be more [OH-] which would result in getting a larger Ksp than the usual 5.5×10–6 such as a 5.6 e-6 using phenolphthalein, requires less HCl, & would give a smaller Ksp than the usual 5.5×10–6 such as a 5.4 e-6 ======================================… on the other hand if you are titrating Ca(OH)2 into the HCl it will take less Ca(OH)2, to get to Methyl orange ‘s color change @ pH about 4 ….
