What is the Windows Azure™ AppFabric Caching service?
In October 2010 we released a CTP version of a new Caching service to the LABS environment. The Caching service is a new distributed, in-memory application cache service for Windows Azure apps. As in any other cloud service model, it saves the user the need to install and manage machines and instances. All you need to do is provision, configure and use the service, and it enables to dynamically increase and decrease cache size as needed. It has the same programming model as the on-premises version of the cache, part of the Windows Server® AppFabric.
