Tilling simply means turning over the soil in some fashion, usually using a rotor tiller. It is recommended for planting but if you do not want to till we offer the soil mixes. It is recommended that the tilling depth is 4-6 inches deep and then apply a form of compost or amendment about 2 inches thick and mix that together.
