What is troposphere, why most weather changes occur there?
Troposphere is the lowest layer of the atmosphere where temperature decreases with altitude. The top of this layer varies between approximately 8 kms over poles and 18 kms over the equator in height. Most of the weather changes occur within this layer as water vapour, which is the main cause of many weather systems,is confined to only this layer.More over, convections which are responsible for the formation of convective clouds occur only in this layer as the temperature decreases with height which is the required condition for the unstable atmosphere leading to convective currents.
