What is UNIVAC?

Good lord, it’s been so many years since I heard that name. Univac was essentially the first working commercial computer in the U.S. from back in the early 50’s. It weighed like tons, took up an entire large room, generated enough heat to melt the polar cap, and had about a tenth of the power of today’s home computers. I think Univac was where they first came up with the term ‘BUG’ to describe a malfunction because they found fried circuits where a moth had been drawn to the heat and shorted it out, like a bug zapper. For more info on Univac, you’d probably have to do an online search for articles about it.
