What is Vampire Academy all about?
This book is about this girl called Rose who is training to look after the Moroi – the good vampires – and protect them from harm against the Strigoi – the bad ones. However, at school, she falls in love with her instructor who is only seven years older than her, is extremely good at killing and is referred to as a ‘badass’ and a ‘god,’ since he has extremely good looks – he is Russian and apparently has “a gorgeous Russian accent.” He falls in love with her too, but it is complicated – because both of them will soon be made to protect Lissa – a Moroi, and to do that, if danger occurs, they need to jump in front of a bullet for her – not each other (which is what would happen if they pursue their love). An extremely good romance with lots of action!
