there are a couple of was to make chocolate frosting THE FIRST RECIPE- ~1 stick butter ~4 tbsp. cocoa ~1/3 c. milk ~1 lb. powdered sugar ~1 tsp. vanilla ~1/4 tsp. salt ~1/2 c. nuts Combine butter, cocoa and milk in saucepan and heat until butter has melted. Beat in sugar,vanilla, salt and nuts; beating until ready to spread. THE SECOND RECIPE- ~1 1/2 c. sugar ~6 tbsp. cornstarch ~6 tbsp. cocoa ~1/8 tsp. salt ~1 1/2 c. boiling water ~4 tbsp. butter ~1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add sifted cocoa and salt. Mix well. Stir in water. Cook over low heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla. Spread hot. THE THIRD RECIPE- ~3 tbsp. butter ~2 tbsp. cocoa ~1 1/2 c. confectioners’ sugar ~2 tbsp. milk ~1 tsp. vanilla Melt butter in medium saucepan. Stir in cocoa until dissolved.
