What judo throws can be done without having to grip the opponents gi?
Ura-nage is one. No gi grip needed. Kani-basami also doesn’t need any gi gripping. Most throws can be done without a gi grip, if you apply a little imagination. For example, o-soto-gari can be done using chest impact and a grip on the elbow. Just keep the mechanics and most can be altered to be used without a gi.
